I missed TNC!
Hey gang, it's great to be back, I missed TrueNorth! We had a great vacation with plenty of sunshine! I love the ocean, it always reminds me of how big the Earth really is and how AWESOME our God really is!
I hope you didn't miss the kickoff last week to our new summer series "T.R.U.E.N.O.R.T.H."! I heard everything went great and the volunteers did a great job! It's good to know that I can leave and things actually go better than when I'm there!
Week 2, on "Relationships" happens THIS Sunday! Relationships are essential to the life of a Christ follower. Jesus says the following in Mark 12:29-31: "The most important command is this: 'Listen, people of Israel! The Lord our God is the only Lord. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.' The second command is this: 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.' There are no commands more important than these. (NCV) Nothing is more important than relationships because nothing will last longer than relationships. We need to keep this in mind when we prioritize relationships among other things in our lives. Be HERE this Sunday as Steve teaches us more on relationships!
I've been talking about the TNC North Augusta youth coming to Decatur and it's finally here! They will be here on Monday night and start "Adventure Camp" on Tuesday, 10 am - noon, at the Forsyth Park for 6 - 12 year olds. We will be having a "Family Night" at the park on Friday night, make plans to be there! They will also be our service on Sunday, July 26!
