What a great day we had this past Sunday! I enjoyed getting to open up the new series, especially talking about a legend like, Bono. What a difference he is trying to make in the world, which is all motivated by his love for Christ! I hope you were challenged to extend mercy and compassion to help change the world for Jesus Christ! We can make a difference in our family, work, community, and our world!
This Sunday, we will consider what Jesus and scriptures might say to OPRAH. She is the quintessential rags to riches story. She started life without any of the breaks that you normally associate with those who will go on to dominate their field and she has made it all the way to the top. Probably one of the most powerful and influential women in the world, she is Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama rolled into one. Some people have said that she could be President if it wasn't for the cut in pay and influence. And every one has an opinion about her; you might love her or hate her, but it is very difficult to be ambivalent about Oprah Winfrey. Don't miss it this Sunday at TNC!
