I continue to be amazed at seeing new faces every week at TrueNorth! It never gets old! The passion of TrueNorth church is to reach the unreached! Our goal with our new series, "What Might Jesus Say" is that it would be a springboard to invite new fish! Let's never stop fishing! Let's never loose our passion to do whatever it takes to reach people no one else is reaching!
Guess what? This Sunday we are going to consider ''What Might Jesus Say to Miss California''. She made national news last week when she simply answered the judge's question. Steve will address her answer and how it should affect you and me! Looking forward to see how God shakes us up!
Can't wait to see you Sunday!

Our new series entitled, "What Might Jesus Say", will begin this Sunday! I am pumped about this series because it lends itself to inviting ''fish'' to come and see at TNC. We encourage you to talk up this series with your unchurched friends, family and co-workers. Each week in this series, we will be exploring what Jesus and the scriptures might say to the INFLUENCERS OF CULTURE of the 21st century. We believe the teachings of scripture to CULTURAL ICONS will also have a significant impact on each of us as well!
This Sunday, we will consider what Jesus and scriptures might say to Bono. He is a rock star that took the nation by storm in the 80's and continues to rock in the 21st century by winning a 2003 Golden Globe award with his band, U2. Bono spoke in advance of President Bush at the 54th Annual National Prayer Breakfast, in 2006. In a speech contaning biblical references, Bono encouraged the care of the socially and economically depressed. He has alot to say, SO DON'T miss THIS Sunday!
Just a note about this past Sunday! Easter Sunday was outstanding! We had our largest crowd since launch Sunday and more importantly two people made decisions to become a Christ Follower! Thanks to Jim and the band for doing a great job!
Let's keep investing and inviting! God has something awesome in store for TrueNorth Decatur!
See ya on Sunday!

So, TrueNorthers...who are You bringing to church with you this Sunday?
As we continued to follow the "Dream Series" this past Sunday, I was reminded of the dream robbers in my life. What are dream robbers, those that simply come against the dream God places in our hearts. When we follow our dreams there are always skeptics, naysayers, and border bullies who we confront along the way. The question is, how will we respond to them? What can we do to bust the borders that they seek to put around us? I hope you will find some dream buddies to come along an encourage you as you pursue God's dream in your life! I hope you plan on being at TrueNorth this Sunday, as we conclude the "Dream Series". The band will be doing a special song at the beginning of the service, don't be late!!
We have NEW TrueNorth flyers that would be great to put up in businesses around town. Please, always make sure you have permission before putting one up. They are available at Guest Services starting this Sunday!
Have a great weekend! See ya on Sunday! Don't forget to keep investing and inviting!
